Specifically designed for Aquatic Therapy, our 5,000 esq. facility contains a 34’ x 52’ specially designed indoor warm water (87°) handicapped accessible a licensed non-chlorine (Ozone treated) medical pool with a large hot water (97°) hydrotherapy spa.
This outpatient aquatic wellness facility is designed for the managed care and Medicare clientele, providing an elegant environment for rehabilitation. We provide capabilities to perform a wide range of doctor prescribed aquatic and land based physical therapy services, as well as continued aquatic wellness programs for all disabilities and medical conditions. Our land equipment includes: electric stimulation, ultrasound, hot & cold packs, Total Gym, Treadmill and much more.
The combination of the two aquatic areas (87° & 97°) produce a contrast bath effect for improved blood circulation and joint mobility.
This flat floored medical pool design has easy wheelchair access via a ramp and ranges in depth from 3 1/2 ft. to 4 1/2 ft. to 5 1/2 ft. Included is a 7 ft. deep well for submerged sports injury rehab or professional and amateur athletic training. The flat floor design provides options for improving range of motion, strength, and functional mobility exercises, as well as gait training, balance, stabilization and coordination for all populations.

Lakeway Aquatic Wellness & Physical Therapy Center is a private, comprehensive
physical therapy practice specializing in orthopedic, sports and spine rehabilitation
utilizing both land and aquatic-based technology. Lakeway Aquatic Wellness is
dedicated to the use of aggressive aquatic and land treatments, manual therapy
techniques and individualized treatment sessions. By having available both land
and aquatic modalities, we are finging expediency in the healing and recovering
process by transitionaling exercise programs from water to land. Our mission
is to facilitate healing on multiple levels through physical training and education

Center do not want you to stop your exercise after your rehabilitation program
or after your doctor's referral has run out. You can't just go back to being
a couch potato! We offer you a variety of programs to keep you on the road
to a lifetime of fitness and to aid in your healthy lifestyle.

Every patient receives personalized care beginning with the doctor’s
prescription, through the treatments and into the wellness continuum
membership program. As patients progress into normal function,
they are offered membership options for continuing into fitness
programs. Patients can choose to participate in low or high intensity
water exercise classes, water walking, swim lessons and massage
therapy.
Kristan M. Cogan - Physical Therapist
Kristan has been a sports medicine physical therapist for over 8 years in the Austin area. She specializes in manual therapy, shoulder injuries and LBP with focus on sport-specific training. Kristan holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from Simmons College in Boston, and has specialized training with McKenize and Maitland spinal methods. Kristan’s interest in golf has lead her to train with Paul Callaway of Body Balance for Performance as well as Back to Golf. Kristan’s personal interest in Palates has enhanced her treatment of low back pain and core stability.
Jeniffer Moore- Physical Therapist
Jennifer received a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She has 3 years of experience in orthopedic, neurological, and aquatic physical therapy. Jennifer also has experience with a wide variety of pediatric diagnosis
Melody Medley-Keith - Physical Therapist Assistant
Melody a certified aquatic therapist specializes in all types of aquatic therapy. Melody has trained with Dr. Luis G. Vargas and Dr. Michael Dufresne D.O. for manual water therapy and mobilizations in the water. She has trained with the Aquatic Therapy Institute for over 10 years.
Melody is a specialist in Watsu and Bad Ragaz (Specific aquatic treatments for all types of diagnosis.)
